She
loved him. His heart sang with joy.
"Say it again?"
"I love you, William," she said stroking his cheek tenderly. "How
could I not love you?"
"Oh Cecily, you have no idea how I've dreamed of this, waited for you to
say it."
"Would you like to kiss me, William?"
"What here, now?"
"Yes, my sweet."
"But someone might come in."
"I've locked the door." She produced the key, a twinkle in her eye,
then she dropped it into her cleavage. "No one will be disturbing us."
She leaned towards him then and whispered close to his ear. Her words made him
blush a bright crimson.
"You want us to do what?"
She did it again and this time he was in no doubt as to what she wanted.
"But our hosts? Won't it be terribly rude?"
"That's the idea," Cecily said standing up. "Shall we do it, my
love?"
"Alright you wicked girl, see how you've corrupted me?"
William stood too, watching her out of the corner of his eye as she started on
the row of buttons that fastened down the front of her dress. He took off his
jacket and laid it carefully on the sofa.
She pulled down her bodice exposing her lace undergarments. He slipped off his
vest and tie then unbuttoned his shirt.
She wriggled and the dress fell to the floor. William's breath caught in his
throat as she slowly pulled down one strap of her lace camisole.
"You could do this for me," she said half closing her eyes.
"He swallowed hard and reached across. As he trailed his fingers down her
smooth skin taking the strap with it, she moaned and threw back her head.
"Oh William, I can't wait. Come here you naughty boy."
She attacked the buttons of his trousers with gusto, gasping as she exposed him.
"William, it's magnificent, so large."
He swelled with pride at her words.
"Thank you, I did wonder how it would compare."
"I cannot imagine anything more effulgent than this. Take the rest of my
clothes off, William."
He happily complied thinking that he must be the most fortunate man in the
world. Cecily, who he'd dreamed about for so long, loved him and there wasn't
anything he wouldn't do for her. It was a dream come true.
Both of them standing in all their naked glory, chests heaving, hearts racing at
the thought of what they were about to do. At the last minute he realized that
he still had his socks so he hastily pulled them off.
"Are you ready?" she said.
"I've never been more prepared," he replied."
"Then let's do it," she cried picking up the key and taking his hand.
She unlocked the door and they gave each other one last reassuring nod before
plunging headlong into the crowd.
The feeling of freedom was so exhilarating that he felt as if he was floating
high above the crowd. Their shocked faces he wanted to burn onto his memory for
all eternity. William roared as he shot through them pulling a laughing Cecily
after him.
They burst through the double doors at the far end of the ballroom dissolving
into more hysterical laughter.
"My goodness, did you see their faces?"
"At least two ladies fainted. Oh William, you were truly magnificent."
"As were you, my sweet. What do we do now?"
"Ahh. I suppose we should get dressed," Cecily said.
"I suppose we should, and then we will excuse ourselves and I will take you
home. And," he added, suddenly shy. "Perhaps I might take that kiss
you promised me?"
"I think the kiss is somewhat redundant given that we are naked."
"Come, let us get dressed then, my dove. It is rather chilly and you are
getting goosebumps."
"And you are…" she looked down at his rapidly shrinking
magnificence.
"Quite, quite," he said, coughing to cover his embarrassment.
"Let's get dressed then."
"Our clothes, William."
"Yes?"
"They're over there." She pointed towards the doors to the ballroom.
"We left them in the library."
"Oh." Their predicament suddenly dawned on him. Both of them standing
stark naked in a corridor, their clothes across a room teeming with shocked
partygoers.
His magnificence shrank a little more.
"What shall we do," he asked her.
"There's only on thing to do," she replied. "In for a penny, in
for a pound, are you ready, William?"
"I'd do anything for you, Cecily," he declared.
"Then come on," she cried pushing open the doors to the ballroom once
more.
----------------------------------------------------------
William's mother peeped around the door to his room and regarded her son fondly.
He lay peacefully in his bed, his tousled hair falling into his eyes, his mouth
curved into a beautiful smile.
`Oh William' she thought, `whatever do you dream about that puts such a happy
smile on your face. She ought to wake him. Today was the day of the ball and
he'd been so looking forward to it. He
needed to fetch his suit from the tailors because he'd been wanting to make a
good impression. But he looked so relaxed that she thought she'd leave him a
while longer.
He laughed in his sleep as she backed out of the room and she smiled
benevolently.
"Sweet dreams, dear William," she whispered. "Sweet dreams."
