He'd had the strangest dream; Cecily had been there, rejecting him over and over again. A very odd, goatish-looking creature had stood behind her, watching intently.

"A marvelous find," it said eventually. "I am most impressed with this young lady."

"But she was so cruel."

"In my line of work, that's an asset."

William shook his head firmly. "A cruel nature is no asset, sir. I know that people mock me for my sensitivity, but I should never wish to be without it."

"Hmm. Unconventional wording, but - oh, why not. I like you." The creature smiled.

"Done," it said.
