The Dentist

Spike stared at the counterclockwise swirl of rinse water.  The last time he had visited a dentist was when medical professionals employed leaches and medieval torture devices.  But it was too late to leave now.  The white coat stood before him, drying off his hands.  Besides, he couldn’t let Buffy see him this way.

“And what can I do for you today, sir?”

The vampire opened his mouth.

“A-ha.  But off a bit more than you could chew, eh, Mr. Spike?  Well, now, don’t worry about a thing.  We’ll replace that fang for you in no time.”
