Guide to Writing Mr. Gordo

Biography

Mr. Gordo, quite possibly the least used character in BtVS, is Buffy Summers' pink, stuffed pig.  He is approximately 18 inches long and 12 inches high with pink/peach fur and black eyes.  He has been seen twice and mentioned once, having first appeared in "What’s My Line," Part 1.

"What's My Line":  Angel wanders about Buffy’s room, notices the pig on a shelf, then picks him up.  Unbeknownst to him, Buffy enters the room through the window behind him.

Buffy: Just dropping by for some quality time with Mr. Gordo?

Angel: Excuse me?

Buffy: The pig.

Angel then throws Mr. Gordo onto Buffy's bed.

During the first episode of season 4, "The Freshman," Sunday and her gang steal Buffy’s belongings.  Buffy looks on as the vampires toss around Mr. Gordo (who has been replaced by a stuffed cow at this point).

However, in a subsequent episode, "The Initiative," Mr. Gordo is once again referred to as a pig, and not a cow.

Willow: She has a stuffed piggy named Mr. Gordo.

While this website uses the Manhattan Toys' stuffed pig named "Peaches" to represent Mr. Gordo, the actual brand of toy used is, as of yet, unknown.  Also unknown is the location of that pig.  Considering that the stuffed pig was replaced by a stuffed cow in season 4, it is unlikely that the location of that toy will ever be discovered.

The only other appearances by this elusive little piece of fluff is in the comics.
