Strengths:
Grammar is my
game. If there's a problem with it, I will find it. I'm also quite
well versed in many elements of Victoriana and am an avid researcher. In
addition, I have a strong understanding of both Buffy and Angel canon.
Response time: Please query with a brief e-mail first. The demands
of my job swing throughout the year. If time permits, I usually can beta a
moderate length fic in about three days.
Like: Very fond of Spike, Willow, Dru, Buffy, Angel, Mr. Gordo... just
about everybody. I also love one-shot fics. Comedy also floats my
boat. Both fluff and angst are fine by me, and I'll give almost any
romantic pairing a shot if it feels believable.
Dislikes: Incest fic, bdsm, rape treated as romantic, character bashing
fics, underage sex, Kennedy, Wood, Warren, Spike-Is-the-Devil fics. Also,
if I'm unfamiliar with a show/genre that a fic is crossing over with, I usually
get very lost. In addition, I'm rather bad at giving feedback to erotica,
not that I won't read it.
Strengths: I'm an experienced writer with an eye for plot continuity and flow as well as grammar. I am well versed in canon for both BtVS and AtS, and have educational background in anthropology, history, folklore and magickal practice.
Response time: Fairly rapid turnaround (24 hours max usually). But please email and introduce yourself first.
Like: Well, obviously I like Gordo! Beyond that, I'm a raging Spuffy, but am willing to read any other pairing, even with these two, if it's well written and insightful. I do tend to be a canon queen. I can and will read any rating, and am not shy about most forms of sexual practice.
Dislikes: Incest fic (which for me is Dawn/Scooby or Connor/Team Angel), torture, total disregard for canon. If you have to change more than three things in the timeline to make your story work, it's probably not for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the "what if", but keep it simple. I'm not a big slasher, although I will read it. And no character bashing. If you don't like them, don't write about them.
I'll read almost anything. Gen, het, slash, all ratings, and genres. I check for characterization, canon details, plot and story flow, spelling and grammar, etc. However, I don't do longfic or WIPs. Please contact me before sending anything.
